Active Projects:

  1. Identifying and testing hepatoprotective agents that prevent acute liver injury or early graft failure in the liver transplant setting.
  2. Clarifying the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, with particular attention to the role of dietary nutrients.

Techniques in Use:

  1. Animal models of acute and chronic liver disease.
  2. Primary liver cell culture.
  3. Analysis of cell death pathways and inflammatory pathways in liver.
  4. Histology, immunohistochemistry, lipid biochemistry.
